Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Reviewer
Rye Brook, New York (Westchester County)

A well-established CPA firm located in Rye Brook, New York is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its growing tax practice.

This position is best suited for professionals currently living within a reasonable commuting distance of Rye Brook, NY, as the role requires regular in-office attendance and is not a fully remote opportunity.

Required Experience:

• Experience working within small to mid-sized CPA firms
• Strong background preparing and reviewing tax returns
• Corporate, Partnership, Individual, Trust and Estate Tax Returns
• Hands-on experience with Forms 706, 709, 1041 and 990
• Experience reviewing the work of junior tax staff
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines during tax season

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with UltraTax software
• CPA designation (preferred but not required)
• Trust & Estate tax specialization highly valued

Work Schedule:

• May 1 – November 30:
Hybrid schedule with work-from-home options on Wednesdays and Fridays

• December 1 – April 30:
In-office position

• Tax Season Requirements:
Mandatory Saturdays (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM) from mid-January through April 15

Extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays during peak tax season

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 based on experience
• Health Insurance
• 401(k) Plan

Important:

Candidates must be comfortable with a hybrid work environment and able to commute regularly to Rye Brook, New York. This position is not intended for fully remote professionals.
